Saw palmetto with finasteride?

Since joining the forum I've seen a lot of threads about saw palmetto, but I never read them since I wasn't considering it. Now I'm thinkinging about adding saw palmetto to my regimen.

My question is, since I'm already taking finasteride, is it even worth it to take saw palmetto? Or is it normally seen as one or the other? From the info i've read online, it appears finasteride is much better at inhibiting DHT compared to saw palmetto. I won't be stopping finasteride.

Also, if I decide to take saw palmetto how much is suggested?

Forfeit Saw Palmetto if your already using Propecia, It wont make much of a difference. There is other treatments that will favor you more in this situation.

most places i see selling finasteride advise against taking the two together.

All those would probably add more effect then adding Saw Palmetto to Finasteride.

I take saw palmetto extract with finasteride. They both give me similar side effects when I first started. Maybe they do similar things? :dunno:

I got worse side effects off saw palmetto (320mg) than I've ever gotten since from Propecia. The Propecia side effects (thankfully) disappeared just over two or three weeks on the treatment, and were milder... Added bonus is that the latter is actually proven to work to some extent.

Exactly saw palmetto if it worked is just redundant. Propecia is proven just use that.
