Is saw palmetto a viable addition to a minoxidil/keto regimen for men experiencing non-aggressive hair loss?
I'm having success holding my hairline in place with 5% minoxidil foam and 2% keto shampoo. While I'm happy with my results, I'm well aware that my regimen doesn't really address the root cause of male pattern baldness.
Here are some stats about my situation.
Age Almost 28
Norwood 2-2.5
Problem Area Hairline and Temples.
Hairloss History I was basically born a Norwood 1-1.5. From 25 to 27 I slipped to a 2-2.5.
Regimen Rogaine 5% foam twice daily (since Jan '18), Nizoral 2% twice weekly (since Apr '18).
Results Hairline has maintained baseline. No noticeable progression in baldness since starting treatment.
(If you'd like more info, check out my thread.)
The general consensus on saw palmetto seems to be it technically works, but it's like bringing a knife to a gun fight. However as I've continued my treatment and put my level of hairloss in perspective, I'm starting to think my fight (at least currently) is more of a knife fight anyways.
What are your thoughts? Is saw palmetto worth a try? Or should I not mess with naturals and get on finasteride? (Or should I not mess with my regimen at all?)
Thanks.
