Hello I am looking to start the treatment for my hair loss, it shedds pretty annoyingly and I don't want any further loss just in case, to maintain my hairline. Okay thing is I ordered Regenepure and I'd use it along with Finasteride, but I can't find it in Romania, I tried online sites (not pharmacies) and I found nothing. I thought about using Saw Palmetto as alternative for Finasteride, but I do not know if they have the same results. What do you think should I bother trying Saw Palmetto or it's just a waste of money and time?

Saw Palmetto looks good on paper but I'm almost sure it won't do a thing when it comes to DHT. I don't normally recommend online pharmacies but if you can't get finasteride in your location, you have no other choice.

Be careful and do your research on the pharmacy before you buy from them. In terms of payment, look for ones that accept bank drafts/wire transfer or you can use a VISA gift card (This method may not always work so talk to your bank first)
In terms of legitimacy, use tools like scam adviser - http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website (Stay away from the ones tested to be 'High Risk')

Inhouse pharmacy seems to get a good rating from scam adviser. Inhouse pharmacy also requires a prescription.

Saw palmetto functions similar to finasteride but the effects are much weaker which is why most people don't find it effective.

Doesn't effect hair follicles from my understanding only inhibits dht from the prostate

Do you guys have any idea what effective meds I could find in Romania to fight male pattern baldness?

Most of these sites are rated as High Risk on the link you sent me because they're operating from Romania lol.

OH that reminds me, you can get finasteride from this website. Just go to "Get Your Treatments" above. but it's over priced if you asked me.

There are lots of sites that sell prescriptions. In fact, you can get finasteride/dutasteride from this website, just go to "Get Your Treatments" above.

I am part Native American, and the American Indians have used saw palmetto for centuries. Notice that many natives still have full heads of hair well into old age? Many believe it does help!

You have to separate coincidence from cause/effect relationships. DHT comes in part from the prostate which is what finasteride was for before it was used for hair loss. I do think saw palmetto acts similarly to finasteride, but I also think its far too weak to positively change male pattern baldness. Even if it did why take that with almost zero evidence it does anything verses the actual stuff that has huge piles of data it definitely works? As for native Americans with hair into old age probably gene pools much more likely than the saw palmetto. Different populations or geographic areas tend to have more similar gene pools because they tend to reproduce together more. There are bald native americans just like any other group even if its maybe less as a whole.
The bottom line is finasteride is a better choice if hair is what your after.

I used SP for a bit but I found it really didn't do anything for me... my hair pretty much stayed the same, but I didn't really have aggressive hair loss at that point. It's not really worth it in my opinion

I tried SP at 160 mg for a month and felt no sides, but than got 320 mg and after 5 days had a panic attack. I don't know if 100 percent it was because of the SP, I did have anxiety before, but I'm pretty much just using it has a scapegoat right now.

Doesnt work. Go read pub med articles.

It doesn't inhibit scalp dht. The effects ate very marginal and little at best.

Saw palmetto gave me sides: ED, slowed growth of facial hair, and post urinary drip. I stopped SP and the sides improved, but I still get post urinary drip. I should also mention that I took SP for a month during a time that I was going through withdrawal from narcotics and severe anxiety and depression. If I took SP while I was "healthy", maybe I wouldn't have had those sides. In any case, it's because of that experience that I'm very reluctant to try finasteride. Though my ED has improved since then, I still have it. I don't want to risk making it worse.

Well, maybe if they made a topical saw palmetto, then it would work better, because the aim of the treatment should be the hair follicles, and not the blood, or the prostate. I mean, they should make a cream saw palmetto or foam or something... ;D Then maybe it would work better.

ED = Erectile Dysfunction, =>> when you can't get it up, or you get it up but it doesnt last long and goes soft, or other things like that.

Saw Palmetto has always seemed like an interesting alternative... of course (as with everything), some people benefit more than others.

My 2 cents. I doubt Saw Palmetto can help with hair loss. It is doing little to nothing. If you are going to start finasteride at some point you're probably best to start it now.
