Just a quick question since my previous post was probably too long to engage many people's interest lol, can you safely combine Saw Palmetto and generic propecia? All the while keeping the drugs effectiveness? I just got off a stint of years of propecia with little to no help, maybe it helped maintain, but no regrowth :(, I also had minoxidil in my regime and Nizoral so, the big three essentially. That's another story (see previous post if interested) but going on to this question any help?! Thanks all!

i was taking 2 pills or saw p every day for a year before i hoped on the big 3 4 months ago and saw did absolutely nothing for me at all. id stick with the big 3 for 2 years and if you have no results i would consider switching your regime

I personally don't believe that there is any point at all taking Saw AND finasteride. Stick to the finasteride and just don't worry about Saw Palmetto at all.

Yeah, the thing is I was on propecia for about 6-7 years total I would say, no help really I mean no regrowth at all...I switched up to generic finas. from in house pharmacy and I noticed it gives me big time anxiety issues, one particular problem is my throat gets really tight, you know the tightness you get when you're nervous or worried or scared choked up if you will? Yeah, it does that to me and I don't know if it's the generic because I don't think the genuine 60 dollar a month crap from merck did that, but I guess it can't hurt to combine the two can it? The saw palmetto stuff I have contains more than just saw palmetto it contains other ingredients that combat hair loss; Vita-Hair...it has stuff I never heard of it in lol...

I got pretty bad sides from SP (weight gain, facial and sideburn hairs completely stopped growing, post urinary drip). Sides went away after i stopped taking them.

I'm afraid to try finasteride now because of my experience with SP.

Even i am having the same confusion. Saw palmettoa has been of no use since last 1 year. I recently bought generic propecia from the internet. Just wondering if i can use both of them together.

I discontinued my use of SP when I started finasteride. I was on SP for like 5 months with no help from it. 114 or so days on finasteride and already doing pretty good on the hairline, though I have been on minoxidil for a long time so I was already peach fuzzy there. I am also in a shed phase atm in my diffuse area, which is a good sign of future thickening.

Point of my post, I'd quit the SP.
