Salicylic Acid

I'm just wondering if salicylic acid would have any negative effects on thin vellus hair on your hair line? I use a face wash with 2% salicylic acid and worried it might damage the follicles or something. Anyone know?

Dr. Lee adds it to his version of Nizoral 2% shampoo.

I use a facial scrunb in the mornings that contains it - and once or twice weekly I'll rub some up into my scalp before shampooing.
