So I've had some hair thinning, nothing to drastic, no receding hairline, but i don't want to lose any more. Looking for some safe, non-shedding solutions. (kinda don't want to take the risk of shedding with rogaine, definitely don't wanna mess with finastride for playing with hormones).
Some history:
- hair has always been thin and soft
- have a severe case of chronic eczema on various parts of skin all my life
- had hair fall out in with patches on head (back, side, top, and front) when i was in college. freaked out but it grew back. mostly caused by unhealthy diet/lifestyle along with stress.
- 3 years ago noticed hair started to thin in the frontal region. Tried nioxin, hair fell out over the span of 6 months. decided to stop. hair grew back half a year afterwards (but thinner than before i started)
- 2 years ago decided to try nizoral + t-gel & other healthy shampoos (body shop shampoos). good results and slowed thinning. hair seems to be slightly thicker than before nioxin
- now noticed slight thinning again, but diffuse now all across top. not severe, but noticeable Want to stop it at where it is, and possibly grow back without taking risk of shedding.
Current status:
- no receding hairline
- slow thinning of hair, particularly in front, but diffuse loss overall
What i'm thinking:
- Shampoo rotation: Nizoral, T-Gel, Bodyshop Ginger, aloevera, and volumizing shampoos, khiel volumizing shampoo
- Growth Stimulant: Tricomin
- topical anti-androgen: S5 Creme or Revivogen
What are your experiences with tricomin, s5 creme or revivogen? what would you recommend? some advice would be very helpful. thanks!
