so i know this is a topic that has been discussed numerous times on this forum, but i'll just ask again.
For rogaine users that are looking to add topical spironolactone, which of the two is a better addition?

Does one smell worse than the other when in conjunction with minoxidil?
Is one easier than the other to apply?

I never noticed a difference in the ease of use, but I can say that Dr. Lee's smells much better, particularly when in combination with minoxidil.

hmm, that was interesting. I will definitely consider spironolactone (of some kind, probably Dr Lee's!) in the future to boost my regimen if needed :)

Great post. I want to clarify something. For how long does the cream like S5 spironolactone actually give off odor? Yor chart indicates that it takes about ten minutes for it to absorb. Does that mean that it no longer smells after that time? And if it takes longer than that, do you know for how long the cream has to remain on the scalp in order for it to be effective?

You would have to be very smell sensitive in order to smell it after around 10 min. unless you would rub your finger against the skin where you applied S5 and smell it.

S5 gets absorbed quite nicely. If you apply a very thin layer (that's what's needed) of S5, it's gone, dry in the scalp in around 10 min and no one would even tell that you apply it. Dr. Lee spironolactone takes a little longer but it doesn't smell.

I wouldn't wash my hair around 4 hors after applying S5.
