Running out of pills... What to do?

I have a small issue. I usually order enough dutasteride for three months, and I do it one month and a half before I finish what I have. To make a long story short, my order was lost and they had to sent it again, on 01/12/2012. I only have pills left for eight days, and I'm not confident on the new batch arriving on time.

So, I'm wondering what to do to solve this. It will probably be two weeks before I receive anything, and I only have dutas for one. These are my ideas:

- Take only one pill every two days instead of daily.
- Do the same thing, but use the finpecia I have left in the other days.
- Once I run out of dutasteride, use finasteride until the new pills arrive.


I'm far more inclined to reduce the dosage than mixing two drugs and causing additional shedding. Aside from dutas, I'm using minoxidil, Keto shampoo and oral spironolactone (no comments, it's rather complicated). What should I do?

Don't panic. Missing a week won't cause your hair suddenly to fall out. I go weeks and sometimes months before I get my dutasteride.

I don't know what your doses are but I usually take 4 pills a week.

Thanks. I take one daily, and I have not missed one since I started. No side effects of any kind... Except for the bizarre shedding after three months on it. New hairs already at the same time, luckily.

If you are afraid, then I'd half or quarter the pills and take 1/4 a day. .125mg dutasteride is still more effective than 5mg of finasteride.

(unless you have the gel capsules...then nevermind)

Finally arrived! In the end I only lost on dosage, but what a fear...


BTW: I got the security question "The Seas are made of this liquid". I put "piss" and was validated anyways... Another reason to avoid going to the beach.

no manufacturer makes it in pill form if im not mistaken. just take it once every four days should be fine. its still more effective than proscar

Wrong. I've gotten it in pill form from 4rx.com (no, I'm not shilling for them). I believe it's Dugen, and it's in solid white tabs.

When I stopped finasteride it took 3 months for my hair to start dropping so I think you should be good.

Right a week wont make a big difference you could maybe swap to splitting them up for the time really not a big deal.
