I'm not optimistic about RU. I used it for 2 years and while it definitely slowed my hair loss, I found you have to use a lot of it like 2 mL of 5% twice a day to really put any dent in the hair loss. It's a weak agent. And when you have to use that much you can start to develop side effects.
So it's "okay" but not very strong. I use topical darolutamide which is completely experimental but incredibly stronger than RU and since it doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier, it's free of most of the sexual and mood/mental side effects a lot of people complain about with other drugs.
It's a shame there aren't more conventional topical antiandrogens because all we have to choose from is:
1) RU which is weak
2) Things like daro which are completely experimental and if anything, too strong.
I don't have any good suggestions for you unfortunately, I'm just saying if you do use RU, use a lot of it, and have realistic expectations.
