Routine question about hairline + another one

Hello, I am almost 22 years old.

just as a precaution I would like to ask you a question that I asked a couple of months back, because some considerable amount of hair fell out since then.

1) Is my hairline ok ? 20140505_172147.jpg20140505_172224.jpg

2) I have been asking this one since I joined hairlosstalk forum , but no answer has been given , and no similar case has been found.

some sort of weird balding area that didn't evolve since its "discovery" two years ago , containing thick hair .

so here it is :
20140505_172421.jpg20140505_172509.jpg20140505_172449.jpg

it can be hidden by a combover just fine :

more an intrigue than a problem , actually it's only a problem when I cut my hair very short.

/!\ MY HAIR ISN'T THIN (or at least not more than 80% of the hair falling out)

thank you in advance

thanks for your reply jetli99 , I'll wait to gather a some more advises before taking an appointment with a dermatologist again (yes again , because I went last year and he told me that I had nothing abnormal , my hair was way more shorter though)

My friend, believe me, that stuff on the middle of your head is not balding at all!
It may be that your hair grows a bit weird, in some less natural angles there. It's all about your genes i think.
Normally , in any local region of the top of scalp, hair usually grows with each hair "parralel" to the surrounding ones, and in the same directions.
But it can happen, mother nature knows what, that in some area, "neighbour" sets of hair grow in opposite direction, thus exposing more scalp in the middle. This is my opinion.

Looks like the results of hair loss from too much fapping. I would suggest stop wanking it.

@Dreammermerlin: nothing can be done about it then , you may be right about nature , besides I noticed it for the first time when I have cut my hair very short , 2years ago , hard to tell if it was there before that time.

@Lifebay : nope , not bloody likely ,I am not too much fapping not in any case , at most 2 times a week , the bird is always in his cage , I don't feed it regularly .

thank you guys for both the answers

Come on @Lifebay, don't tell me you believe that ridiculous fallacy that fapping leads to hair loss. @mr the hairy monkey, your hairline looks fine, wish mine look like that.

thanks for your opinion shinobi , sorry I've just read your post.

Here is an update of my topic with some new pictures ( freshly buzz cut with #2 , and washed right afterwards)

with different lightening

what concerns me the most is this spot in the middle of my head , I mean it's like being bald and not being bald at the same time (it's not even thin)

20140527_163316.jpg20140527_163303.jpg20140527_162154.jpg20140527_161946.jpg20140527_161856.jpg20140527_161839.jpg20140527_161804.jpg20140527_161626.jpg

do you guys find this unusual ? (not the hairline , what comes beyond)

as you Mr dreamermerlin sir submitted , this is not a male pattern baldness , it's perhaps how my hair is made , but still, this is unpleasant whenever I buzz cut my hair , it makes me anxious at its sight.

If there is anyone who's having this or having a friend or a relative with this similar case , I would be glad to hear about it (how it evolved , if it did).

Thank you once more

edit : you might wanna know that I have a sebaceous naevus of Jadassohn on the top left of my head (about 1cm²) , if it rings any bell

personally i think your a diffuse thinner. at early stages. which means u keep your hairline but the rest of the male pattern baldness slowly thins out until by the time your old your bald. its not that bad. its very slow, you get to keep your hairline, and they seem to respond well to treatments.

the time to worry is when u can see a difference between the non male pattern baldness region and the male pattern baldness region. this may not happen for decades.

just my opinion.

Can you easily pull out hair from the top of your scalp ?

thank you guys for both your replies , much appreciated:

@anxious1 : my hair isn't thinning in the "balding" area , it's like it's gone without me even noticing (I had this since at least 19 years old , when I've made my first ever buzz haircut with #1), and I can tell that nothing has changed from that time. (I am almost 22 now)
either my hair is some sort of magician ... disappearing without even thinning in the first place or I am paranoid.

@JZA70 : depends , after a certain amount of hair pulled out , I can't anymore , I've tried to pull out some ,just in order to see if my hair was actually thin. in fact it isn't , or very few of it is, however.

edit : unclear answer : yes I can

when I first noticed this , my amount of hair that was daily falling out wasn't considerable at all (even under the shower , with longer hair)
now I am shedding a lot , probably because of summer as I've always been

I forgot to mention that I have been excessively touching my hair , I've been doing this since my 17's for maybe 1-2 years (combing it + trying to pull it out just to make sure that it is resistant) , no lotion/gel applied whatsoever

minoxidil for about 6 months , no results (not even that meant excessive shedding) + lots of scabs that was obstructing my skin ports.

Update that you might find interesting : I suspect my father that is in his mid 60's of having this same sort of spot on the same area.

he is NW1 with thick hair , but the thing that actually makes it difficult to examine that "balding" spot is his white hair. (I am saying this because you notice someone's balding spot better when you are about 3 meters away)

I took a closer look to his scalp and what I can come out with is the fact that that area has less hair concentration (still thick hair but not covering all the area uniformly).

I don't know if the following plays a role to determine if I inherited his hair genes but I have the same eyebrows as his.

nothing is sure about me examining his hair , maybe I am mistaken about that and that might be due to his age.

Looks like diffuse thinning.

thanks for the second opinion JZA70 , anxious1 told me about diffuse thinning as well , but I remain skeptical about this. it's surely not the hairline

here's how it is on another picture , actually the best one is the 5th picture(not the one below) , you'll see it more clearly :

20140527_161626.jpg

here are two more pictures of me..... just look at that big nose to be sure (taken less than 6 months ago) with longer hair : 20131104_180201.jpg20140210_125755.jpg

the hairline seems fine , if it's diffuse thinning I don't think that it affects the hairline (in my case)

just wait & see I suppose then

EDIT: anyways , I am going to do my best to tackle this diffuse thinning if it is one , whatsoever emotional state or diet.

I just hope that this is reversible

knowing what to do now , all my answers have been answered.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL TAKING YOUR TIME TO REPLY TO THIS , GUYS
