Routine and FUE Questions

Hi Guys

I have decided for 2011 I would do something about my hair. I have done a bit of research and

have a couple of questions. I've found that for best results I should use the Big 3. I have been to Advanced Hair and Ashley & Martin but felt I was not getting value for money. So I am planning to use as my three:
Minoxidil: Rogaine Foam
DHT Inhibtor: Propecia (one of my questions, see below)
Antiandrogen: Tricomin (combo pack)

In combination of this I plan to get FUE. I have attached some photos of my hairline (yuck).

My hair isn't too bad but I hate my receeding and high hairline. So I would like to get this fixed up and lowered.

My Questions:
1. Is my Big 3 combination ok?
2. I have heard some bad stuff about Propecia, what are your opinions of this?
3. I would prefer to get my FUE procedure done in Australia but from what I have seen on this message board alot of comments are saying that not very many Australian doctors are any good. Personally I find this a bit hard to beleive but would like to get your honest opinions :)

I have looked into some websites for FUE and wondered if you have had or heard of anyone who had the procedures through:
- Dr. Barry White or his protégé (http://www.newhair.com.au)
- Dr Jennifer Martinick (http://www.martinick.com)

Thanks for your help :)

1. Yeah sounds good although you might want to throw a shampoo like nizoral or t-gel in there (a lot of people here use nizoral). I've never used trichomin so i dont know if that works for real

2. Some people do get side effects from Propecia...some people dont. Merck (company that makes propecia) claims that only 2% of people get side effects from the drug. At the end of the day, youre going to hear tons of people say there is nothing to worry about ....and then youre going to hear other people say propecia is evil. You have to decide for yourself. My advice would be, dont look into it too much..take the drug..see what happens and make the decision for yourself. If you get all psyched out with people saying stuff online, you'll scare yourself and be paranoid while on the drug and you'll never really know if its working or if youre really getting side effects because you'll psych yourself out

As far as hair transplant doctors you should REALLY REALLY REALLY check out thebaldtruth.com that site was started by a guy named Spencer Kobren. Hes the founder of the american hairloss association. The forum on that site is much better than this one as far as finding out which hair transplant doctors are good. If anyone can tell you who to really trust in australia, this site can. The American Hair Loss Association has doctors that they endorse in certain areas for transplants, and those doctors have gone through a screening process based on their work and feedback from patients...i believe they may endorse doctors outside the USA too...if not, the forum members will still be able to tell you whos good and legit and who isnt.
