If I discontinue the use of rogaine will I lose my original hair??

no only the hairs youve grown with minoxidil theoretically though some people can maintain minoxidil hair with finasteride. i persoanlly wouldnt chance it though.

What? How does this work. If you have male pattern baldness, you have male pattern baldness, right? You'll eventually go completely bald if you stop treatments.

you wont necessarily go completed bald. It's your genetic design determines what stage your hair will end up at.
