Rogaine question

I'm balding and have very long hair, will using Rogaine cause me to shed bits of my long hair and regrow it with short hair so I'll end up with some weird mixture of long and short hair?

Also someone mentioned a liquid minoxidil alternative to Rogaine that might be better, what are the options for that?

Using a minoxidil product will cause a bit of shedding in the beginning and then eventually regrow your hair after continued use. A liquid monoxidil alternative that I have been using is from a brand called Regenepure. I use their shampoo (called DR) and their conditioner (called NT). I decided to use the minoxidil with these products because I read some review on here saying that it helped maximize growth. I have been using it for a few months and already see a huge difference. Thanks for the reply, just how much shedding are we talking? My hair is pretty thin at the moment and if it were to get any worse it would be really noticeable but I'm not sure if I should just go ahead with it because the longer I leave it the worse it's going to get

I didn't shed at all using rogaine.
