Hi Forum,

Studying some older posts from a few years ago, I see some forum members were curious as to the effectiveness of Rogaine foam after being stored in extreme temperatures. Does anyone know of any recent research or conclusions on the matter? Is it turning out to be not such a big deal?

In my case, I am currently living in un-airconditioned, high humidity environment with daily temperatures 85-100F (Vietnam). I do not want to risk leaving this stuff in a refrigerator bc that also seems just as extreme to the product. The foam actually melts to liquid very quickly in these conditions of course, and I usually end up pouring the liquid out of the cap onto my scalp,..or just applying the foam directly to the scalp.

Also, my Rogaine gets shipped from the US via UPS or FedEx..that would add 12 + hours flying time in who knows what temperatures..

One concern I have is that the liquidized foam ends up getting absorbed a lot by my hair too. The joys of harsh climates...

I keep my Rogaine foam in a mini fridge. The fridge is not that cold at all. It brings it down 30 degrees less than the rooms temperature. It's good enough so far. It keeps the Rogaine foamy and I have a pretty warm room.

Hi ALL,

Jimmy, you said the foam was stored in fridge down 30 degrees less than the rooms temperature (30 c?) , It means 0 c? Will it be frozen? Any experience if it is not foam but liquid rogaine/Minoxidil? And how long (days , months, years)have you place this foam in fridge?

1982man, I 'm from Asian country, also, Last time I brought Kirkland for 12 months supply. It didn't work for me ( I have used it for 2 yrs before and it was great). This time it didn't work. I don't know it was due to the cheap thin paper packing by the shipping company (no protection for the temperature change during flight), or new drug company (from Israel) cannot meet the FDA criteria.

You mean the new Perrigo minoxidil? This was the first time you ordered the Perrigo minoxidil? When? Where do you buy it? Amazon? Ebay? Or elsewhere?

Yes.Perrigo. B4, it got that was manufactured from Johnson and johnson and from Canada for 2 whole years. Until last year Nov., I can't buy any from Canada but from Israel thro' Amazon, then my hair fall . Then I switched to Bailleul mino 5% and the problem was resolved. But I don't know it was due to poor ,thin package during long flight or due to that Israel company. Anyone share the same experience?

So far I'm still able to use rogaine in the heat but in the last few months starting to notice re-loss of hair. There are a lot of other factors at play for my situation though. My entire bottle of finasteride got moisture inside from an ignorant housekeeper cleaning the bathroom once. I'm sure half of those pills were destroyed, as they were fizzled up after the soak. I took them anyways bc the stuff's not easy to get in VN.

I need an answer to this too:
95 degrees fahrenheit where I live. at winter it's at about 77.
I'm using rogaine foam 5% , could it be damaged.
