ive been on propecia (finasteride) for a month & ive decided that adding minoxidil aswell is worth it. (im also using nizoral shampoo every 3 days)

DHT attacks hair follicles causing them to shrink, lose colour & eventually fall out. so while minoxidil helps hair grow & thicken I dont see much point just using minoxidil- simply because the DHT will still continue to attack the hair. finasteride helps reduce DHT significantly so its bound to help somewhat plus nizoral shampoo helps thicken hair & has a limited hair growing property (increases hair by 2% apparently)

Rogaine alone will do nothing?

No. Minoxidil can help thicken hairs as well as keep it in the growth phase longer. You will however, get better results if you use finasteride along with minoxidil because finasteride will create a healthier (lowered DHT) environment in your scalp which will help any growth stilmulants work better.

What about Nizoral? Isn't the purpose of that to help with reducing DH on the scalp?
