rogaine foam and ru shed cycles ?? Why so often help !

ok guys, i need to get some advise,


Ive been on ru and rogaine foam non-stop since feb 2010,

I keep going through these massive shedding periods, where i will get 2 months of shedding followed by 2 months of regrowth, kinda like in waves.


So ive read many people tell me to go through the sheds as they will get less and less, as for me its not the case every 2 months it comes and goes. Clearly minoxidil is doing something, but why won't it claim down as time goes by ? I don't think my male pattern baldness is getting worse as I think these shedding, "waves" are a result of minoxidil speeding up my hair growth cycle, as they occur every 2 months. I am on rogaine foam so I don't know if it is just too powerful that it forces me to go through these sheds or what ? Been through 4 in 1 year so far.

I use 2 caps per day( as i have to to cover the whole top of my head), could i be using to much and thus, this forces me to shed every 2 months ? Or is ru making me go through these shedding cycles ? Or should i add finasteride or dutasteride and would it make my shedding occur less ? ( i dont know if i want to add finasteride or dutasteride as you guys are aware of my massive Telogen Effluvium shedding from finasteride last year when i was on it for almost 8 months, but since im on minoxidil now which will force my hair to cycle out does this mean finasteride or dutasteride will work this time? Or am I just making the issue worse, since my hair is not getting thinner but just going through shed cycles either form minoxidil or ru?




Again, its not like im on minoxidil and ru and my hair gets worse, gets worse and that's it, no recovery..

Anyone else go through 4 massive sheds in 1 year ? When did it calm down for them ?

sorry for all the questions, its just im trying to figure it out, its not that my hair-loss is getting worse, but these come and go sheds are occurring every 2 months and i though it was suppose to calm down after being on it for awhile.

I dont know what to tell ya regarding the 4 sheds in one year I am not that far yet into the regimine and have not noticed any shedding with the foam as of yet as I am 2.5months in.

Do you obsess about your sheds where u always look at the amount of hair in hands when showering etc??? I honestly try not to pay any attention to my shedding, I never look at my hands when showering or ever run my hands through my head to observe the fallout. Because if I do and if some falls out it will prob discourage me from continuing treatment or make me become obsessive about it. If u worry too much and I am not saying u do, try not too as that could be a factor.
