I am on Rogaine foam for 4 months. In 2 days i will end month 4. Should i be disappointed or not? I will post pics from the the beginning of the treatment and for month 4. I am not on finastride or similar. I use only Rogaine foam 2/day without pause.

Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think? Should i be worried or month 4 is too soon to see results? Maybe it's my mind or maybe it's the fact in the first pics my haircut was shorter but....when i look at the pics from month 4 (taken today) i begin to worry a lot. Meaning i don't see any improvement but contrary, it's getting worse in my opinion.

First month pics( day 1):

You're on Rogaine foam? If you are, I suggest you try out liquid minoxidil. I've heard several people say that the liquid penetrates the skin more. Also, a lot of people experience a "shed" that COULD be the reason you have less hair than before starting the treatment. If you are experiencing a shed, the hair will eventually grow back thicker. You should give it about a year to see full results. The only way to find out is to keep going.

I also recommend liquid minoxidil. I've tried out both and the liquid is definitely the way to go

Man hop on finasteride !!
Not taking it is like watching a fire start in your house while you stand there with a fire extinguisher and not do anything.
Even if the minoxidil is working the new hair is succumbing to DHT anyways.
minoxidil+finasteride is standard for fighting hair loss, add some Nizoral and you're ready to party.
Choice is yours, but I assure you there are tons of guys on the forum who wish they started finasteride when they were in your position.
Good luck man, cheers.

Yes i am on Rogaine foam. I use the foam to avoid side effects of liquid minoxidil but it seems the foam is not working for me. I experienced an awful shed in the first 2 months but now the shed stopped almost 100%. But no regrowth or velus hair. I should consider using the liquid minoxidil.

I will try liquid minoxidil for 4-5 months but from the start i must state i am skeptical about finasteride or similar. I am afraid to play with my hormones. And from what i read the opinions are divided...some say it has no side effects on sexual life but others say the contrary and they regret they started using it.

Rogaine foam never worked for me, not even taking it with finasteride or dutasteride. My hair loss just stopped, most likely because of the finasteride/dutasteride. When I used rogaine foam by itself back when I was 17, my hair loss just kept going, it didn't help.

Minoxidil solution on the other hand, that's a whole different beast. It does work, it seems like it penetrates the skin much better. In the first 3 weeks of using kirklands minoxidil liquid, I saw improvement in the crown and thickening of existing hairline hair. I am also using dutasteride 0.5mg a day, but dutasteride alone just stops the hairloss.

Thanks for the opinion but more i read more i get confused. Some say only Rogaine foam worked for them and some say only liquid minoxidil. I am trying the foam but no new hair till now. I will use it 2 months more and after 6 months of treatment i will switch on liquid one.

The only improvement till now it's my shedding stopped. And when i say that i mean i can't see a single hair falling. I am surprised but in the same time i am concerned that no new hair is appearing.

Hey I messaged an admin about how to get my account 2 days ago, I haven't gotten a message back yet. I forgot my password and closed the email I used on this account I think, I so can't get a password reset or anything. Admins how can I get my account back? This is my account right here, JimmyNeutron. At least remind me what email I used in case i'm wrong and still have the email, I can log in to it. I use a different, professional/college email now and don't use any of my emails I made strictly for forums.
