Rogaine caused me scalp Folliculitis

After using rogaine, for the first week, I started seeing red pimple like scabs on my scap. I also itch to the point I was scratching constantly. Anyone ever get this using rogaine?. I had to go to the doctor and he gave me some dandruff shampoo and some antibiotics and some steroid foam cream...It has gotten better since I started the doctor's stuff....I'm still wondering should i restart the rogaine. I'm scared I may get scalp itch and pimples again....Anyone out there have issues with rogaine?

yeah....it tends to hit people either with STANDARD liquid minoxidil or nizoral. It happened to me.

I don't use nizoral anymore and I use a fast drying brand of minoxidil. Its never come back. Rogain foam works well too.

Yea. I also used nizoral in conjunction. So it may be what aggravated the itchiness. If I can't use nizoral. Is there an alternative. ?

There is a handful of expensive shampoos out there that will help but Nizoral is a distant #1.
