Hi people, I just have been recommended this product (thanks Nix !) and I thought you might be interested in it. Could be a good addition to your regimen or a (weaker) alternative to minoxidil :)

"RB-SCE is a mixture of fatty acids and oily materials and not a purified compound. Nevertheless, the increase in hair density and diameter as well as patient satisfaction with 0.5% RB-SCE after 16 weeks were similar to or slightly lower than those reported for 2% minoxidil after 48 weeks or 1% procyanidin B-2 after 16 weeks. Therefore, RB-SCE appears to have considerable hair growth-promoting potential."

Good luck to you all :D

You seem new to the balding scene, if you don't know everything is comparable to minoxidil 2%, it's nothing to get excited about.

I'm indeed new, and everything that can grow hair without encouraging premature skin aging is something to be excited about IMO, different standards, sorry :)

Many oils in past studies showed similar results but in practice they aren't reproducible. The 2% is meant for women.

Really sorry to question that, but did you have a look at the study ? It's been tested on actual people. And both men and women are included in the group, so I don't see why the fact that minoxidil is for women is relevant. And I am a woman, by the way. I'm actually interested in hair loss in both genders.
Sorry not to have found the cure or something promising enough for you to care. I've just been told about something fairly cheap, effortless and potentially helpful. I would, personally, take advantage of anything that can help and try to tackle every step of hair loss we know about, knowing that the process is not 100% fully understood. But that's just me and I understand your objectives might not be the same.

Parisienne,

Baldness has been cured in studies on actual people numerous times: saw palmetto, pumpkin seed oil, nizoral shampoo, cistance and laminaria, ... and now rice bran.

For some reason a lot of these "studies" come from Korea.

Sure. But I've never wrote a single time it was a cure, just that it might be helpful. I'm just sharing the info, now you guys do whatever you want with it :)
