Revivogen Seems to be Working for my Hair Loss

Hello,

I learned a lot on this website, and I remember seeing in one discussion someone say they never heard of success stories with Revivogen so it might be a scam. Now after using it for a few months and seeing some changes, I feel like I should share my story for what it's worth.

First, a little about me. I'm 31, Asian. I used to have really really thick hair growing up, and I had never thought hair loss or going bald would ever be of my concern. But ever since my college days I had been experiencing heaving hair falling. And recently I finally started noticing my hair is really thin now, and, I could see the scalp on the top of my head, through the once thick hair! That's when I panicked and started looking for information. After a little online reading I was more educated, and more depressed. My hair condition is not the worst, on that chart, worse than 2 but not quite at 3V. I finally understood why my scalp always felt weird when I ran my fingers through my hair, and it hurt a little when I pressed on it. And every time I'm in the showering I started counting the hairs on my hand after I rub shampoo on my head, it's usually over 100.

According to the recommendations here the natural thing to do was to buy Nizoral first, I ended up buying the RegenePure shampoo as the equivalent. Then I saw Revivogen on the "Product Recommendation" page and bought a combo pack of the shampoo and the treatment spray (3 bottles). I started using both RegenPure and Revivogen spray (haven't touched their shampoo yet) daily, but nothing changed, and I already learned these things usually take quite awhile to take effect. So I just kept at it. It says on the box of Revivogen that a bottle lasts about a month, but it took me over three months to use up the first bottle. I started taking Biotin about the same time too.

And it was right at the end of the first bottle when I started noticing that I was losing less hair than before. And this was about 4 months after I started. I don't see as many hair strands on my hands now after I put shampoo in. I usually see 5, 10 at most. I use the RegenePure shampoo about every other day, and the Revivogen spray almost daily, I would miss a day here and there, but at least every other day. Now I can feel my scalp is not inflamed after I use it. And if I skip Revivogen for a day I can feel it coming back. One time I skipped two days in a roll, and I saw palms full of hair again. So this was why I think Revivogen was making the difference, but I can't be sure. Because I was afraid I would never get back to the good condition and didn't want to experiment it on my head. Plus now I have all these breakouts on my forehead like never before. I'm guessing that's due to the testosterone pushed out of the top of my head, or it could be something else wrong.

So, to sum it up, I was in a relatively early phase of hair loss and an almost daily usage of RegenPure+Revivogen+Biotin seemed to have worked, though I can't be sure. I'm sure most people here know much more than I do on the hair loss topic, so if you have a better idea what happened here I would appreciate your input. Otherwise, I hope this information can be helpful to you.

<added: By the way, I thought it was a scam too for the first 3 months and it makes my hair look like crap. But I had no choice but to keep trying because I was scared of the side effects of Propecia.>

Despite the naysayers, this report matches what everyone told us if they'd stayed on it longer than 6 months, when we queried people who had actually purchased the product for that long. In other words - actual verified users.

One of the downsides of Revivogen. Have reported it to them many times myself. Its oily. And can cause skin irritation / acne, etc. Its most likely just the revivogen. I no longer use the product, but when I did, i would apply it, and then wet my fingertips with soapy water, run them just below my hairline, and carefully take the edge of a towel and wipe it dry. This kept the substance off my forehead skin and kept my skin normal.

What does it mean? Good? Bad? Should I do something else?

Admin, you don't use it anymore? Does it mean you switched to something else? Or I won't have to use this for the rest of my life?

There was as much talk about Regenepure as Revivogen.

Skipping 2 days and seeing palms full of hair is a bit much as well. But it all sure sounds good :woot:

Nah...carry on.

I don't use it anymore because:

1) It made my pillow orange
2) It made my scalp itch like bloody murder
3) It was just too oily for me

However this was years and years ago. I have not tried the new formulation and the Revivogen folks tell me they've addressed several of those issues. The bottom line for me was that anything that itches so intensely is going to make my hair loss worse. So I stopped. I now use Topical Spironolactone and Nizoral only. I would like more topical antiandrogens though honestly...

Jacob, it sounds like you are making fun of my post or don't believe it or something. Like I said, I'm not 100% sure how stopping using any of these things would affect me because I don't want to experiment on myself, I've already lost too much hair. All I know is as long as I keep doing what I'm doing the hair seems to have stopped falling.

After I posted here yesterday I read a few more success stories and realized my front hairline is way worse than a lot of these people when they first started. So I ordered a pack of Rogaine and I'm gonna start using that too. Hopefully it will work on me. I'm gonna take some pictures before I start so maybe in a few months I can have my own "success story" post. Fingers crossed.

I took Revivogen old formula for 6months and it did help thicken up my frontal region slightly, not as well as finasteride obviously, but still a visible improvement nonetheless.

I stopped simply because I couldn't afford it (I was broke and still am!) and it also gave me bad sleeping problems, possibly because it inhibits both types of 5 AR enzyme?

Anyway in my mind there is no doubt that it does work, even if only moderately and is a great add on to a big 3 regimen, only problem is it costs a lot and it destroys your pillow cases with orange stains! lol

Gets a lot of hate on these forums from people who quit before 6months or quit because their hairline took an initial hit... Really though.. Would you quit propecia if your hairline took an initial hit? Or it wasn't working after 3 months?.... No somehow i didn't think so!

5 ar inhibitors/anti androgens take 12+months to take full effect, so give them time... After all they're the best and only chance you currently have at keeping your hair long term, minoxidil will not stop your hair falling out.

Can you ask them why they've done away with the liposomal delivery system?

Revivogen states that they never removed the Liposomal delivery system, and have never stated that they did.

So why did they take the liposomal talk off the website? And what ingredient in the product is used to make the liposomes? Nothing in the list I last saw had anything to do with a liposomal delivery system, and it seems when that was being brought up is when they took the info off the website.

About oily, It is a pity, and nothing that jojoba wax cannot solve

From Revivogen:
"We have removed the information about the delivery system from our site because we were getting too many questions about the inner workings of it which we did not want to disclose. The liposomes are still used in Revivogen."

 and :uglylol:

Anyone who actually believes that needs their head examined. It's like I said in my questions there- Nothing in the list I last saw had anything to do with a liposomal delivery system, and it seems when that was being brought up is when they took the info off the website.

Look at all the companies out there using liposome and other similar tech. They list it on their labels and ingredients' lists. Most even highlight it and brag about it on their website and/or literature. In fact many even go into the "inner workings of it".

They can't even say what in the ingredients list comprises the liposomes or whatever they want to call their supposed delivery system. Because it doesn't and never existed.

BTW..thanks for asking and posting the responses.

I dont think revivogen works and its pretty over priced given the evidence it has. Burden of proof is on them not me to try it and see what it happens for that price. I havent seen the evidence it works.

I hate to bring Bryan into this..ok, maybe I don't :woot: ....but this is another company Bryan went out of his way to defend or push. Even posting the crazy idea that Revivogen used some unique FFFA's that no one else used. But once again, nothing on their website or products talking about this. Nothing on the label/ingreds list that made it any different than what you see on some other products out there.
