Revivogen alone

I have previouly obtained decent maintenance results with Rogaine alone but was suckered into trying Revivogen. In order to test its effectiveness I decided to hold the Rogaine and use Revivogen alone for a few months to see if it is worth reordering. So far I have done nothing but shed hairs for about a month since switching topicals. I am aware via this forum that shedding for a couple of weeks can sometimes be expected but that is all that I have done for over 4 weeks and the hair loss is increasingly noticable. Does anyone have any idea how long I should continue my "experiment" before switching back to Rogaine? Thanks for your input.

I believe the majority of your shedding lies in the fact that you got off Rogaine. Revivgnon doesnt really do much from what i hear.

Three weeks on Revivogen, and becoming visibly thinner on top. I'm hoping this is the 'shed' too and in a few months things will improve. I'd be grateful if you could keep me updated with your progress.

Revivogen is supposed to maintain not regrow hair whereas Rogaine is meant to stimulate hair growth. Both have different aims so I can't see how you can compare them.

Extreme hair loss with Revivogen

I had actaully been off Rogaine for several months prior to starting Revivogen, so I doubt the shedding was due to stopping Rogaine after that length of time. I have since stopped Revivogen and returned to Rogaine- since then the dramatic hair loss has stopped completely. Hopefully within a few months the "damage" will be repaired at least to the starting point before using Revivogen. I understand that my results were not typical and can only assume that I might have been allergic to one of the ingredients in the formulation. For whatever reason, I will never consider Revivogen again.

Any time you switch topicals you risk a shed. Sheds are not evidence that the topical isn't working. One month sheds are common. You have to give a new regimen six months before you know whether it's working.

That said, there is much more evidence that in favor of minoxidil than Revivogen.
