So I'm getting close to 2 years on the big 3. I've regrown from like NW2.5 to NW2, I've also been doing light dermarolling (@Somebody 's method) for the last 4 months. I think it's enhanced minoxidil somewhat but not on the level I want. Here's my full story thread:
https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/kjs-story.99955/

I have some things on the way and I'm planning to really put an emphasis on trying to regrow some more and on jumpstarting the weakness at my hairline at the temple angles/hairline corners

Here's more or less what I am planning:

Morning:
finasteride 1mg
1.25mg oral minoxidil
5% minoxidil foam -temple angles only

Night:
1.25mg oral minoxidil
5% minoxidil liquid -whole hairline
Light dermarolling(not wounding) across hairline- Sunday, Monday, Wednesday
Wounding with 1.5mm dermastamp on hairline - Thursday
Nizoral 1% every 2-3 days

I've always been wary of oral minoxidil, but after hearing reports of some on here it sounds like it could be a worthy edition. I am a little iffy on the dose as well. I'm planing to quarter 5mg tablets, and I'm thinking 2x a day because of the short half life of oral, but I may or may not end up starting with just 1x a day to see how it goes. Also using much less topical minoxidil in the morning to try and compensate for the addition. I plan to take a 48 hour break once every month from all minoxidil to get the stuff out of my system and give my body a break from it

Also hoping it's okay to still be light dermarolling when I'm wounding as well. Do have slight concern my scalp might never be fully healing over and wonder if that might cause unwanted long term issues to my scalp in the long run. I don't really want to drop the rolling though. Would love some opinions on this

Also thinking about looking into oral castor oil, as it's supposedly a growth stimulant. If anyone knows anything about this and if it would be a worthwhile or pointless addition with everything else, would love to hear from you.

What do you guys think of this regimen? Good? Stupid? Any worthwhile changes or additions?

Loniten is ridiculously stupid to take. I would never, ever touch it my friend. don't do it, depsite what you read. What you're doing is working, and your results will probably continue to get better. DON'T take a potent oral vasodilator for hair loss. please.

2.5 mg is probably what will go systematic with dermarolling anyway.

I appreciate your input Buck

I don't know how much more improvement I can expect on a conventional regimen. I've been a NW2+ for like a decade. I know and understand the whole "be thankful for what you have" and "put yourself in my shoes" thing but although I do indeed have much, much less hair related anxiety than pre treatment there is still some there and it grows tiresome, exacerbated by the fact I'm mistaken for a teenager on a daily basis and my hairline is the one thing that's basically "off" with my appearance of what people expect when they see me. If I looked my age I suspect I would be more comfortable with my present hairline

I suspect I may not be a good transplant candidate as 50 grafts cm^2 with my fine hair texture would potentially look like sh*t jammed in my hairline. There aren't a lot of other options. I haven't seen anything indicating to me that a small dose of oral minoxidil would be a problem in the long run but of course its possible I just haven't dug deep enough

@kj6723, you are not using any copper peptides or SODs. I would try Proctor's Prox-N before I would try oral minoxidil. You need to hit your hair loss at another angle.

Has your skincare game counteracted minoxidil sides? Minoxidil fucked up my skin when I used it and I'm scared to ever try it again.

I'm not familiar with the product or with the angle. I will need to look into it. Do you use the stuff?

I've never noticed any skin related minoxidil sides

Maintenance isn't my issue as finasteride is maintaining my hair fine at the moment, so I don't think I need an AA upgrade. It's regrowth I'm looking to improve

Don't people use relatively high dosages (10mgs) of oral minoxidil in the long term for high blood pressure without issue?

Weren't you applying retinol?

Oral castor oil didn't do sh*t for me, and it tasted like sh*t too. Perhaps it will help you .Along with the lotinen maybe you'll grow more hair on your chest and forearms, which women find attractive .

I was using tretinoin but I traded it out for dermarolling, as I think it's a superior method for increasing absorption. Currently only using tretinoin on my face for skin care purposes

Lol more chest and arm hair is the last thing I need, I already shave my chest and legs because it detracts from the appearance of muscle tone

What's your skin care regimen

Normally, Retin A a couple times a week, Vitamin C serums during the day, moisturizer with sunscreen, and a gentle facial wash. Recently I broke out like a mofo for the first time in like 10 years so I've added in benzoyl peroxide a couple times a week as well.

Does retin A help with acne or it is more beneficial as an anti-aging cream?

Having been displaced for a few days from a storm and widespread power outage, oral minoxidil is seeming very nice atm (f*****g LOL at finding opportunities to dermaroll while living as refugee at relatives' house)

Also reminding me how futile fighting hairloss would be if civilization was disrupted
