Retin A with a cream with uv filter?

Do you use a cream with uv filter before the use of Retin A (this is suggested when Retina A is being used for the face wrinkles to prevent the skin irritation of the face)?

Sunscreen is only recommended on the face because retin a can make the skin more sensitive to the sun and also to prevent further sun damage. Sunscreen does nothing to prevent the irritation that retin a causes

A bit off topic, but if one is using retin a for their face then must sunscreen always be worn? I've always wondered about this because you have people moaning that it made their wrinkles worse when in fact it's probably because they weren't using sunscreen as well as the retin a thus receiving more sun damage then they would due to the sensitivity retin a causes?

This thread reminded me I forgot to put Nivea cream with spf15 today. 2 weeks ago I started using Retin A cream and my skin improved.
