Restarted Minoxidil after 2 months break

i have been using minoxidil for a couple of years and was responding well , i thought i would give it a break for two months and resume it ,
Now after two months i restarted it and shedding like crazy 15 days into it and massive shedding everyday my hairs have become worse than ever .

how long will this shed last and atleast can i regrow the hairs i've lost in those two months ?

I have never taken finasteride.

Possibly it is a coincidence and you would shed hair after stopping minoxidil at that point in time anyway. But I believe that prostagladin modulators (i.e. indometacin, diclofenac, and other anti-inflammatories) would stop your shedding immediately (for me anti-inflammatories decrease daily hair loss). Now, this is interesting. I have done the same - stopped minoxidil (and finasteride) after many years of use because of health problems probably not related to minoxidil/finasteride usage (but started other natural substances topically) - and after about 2-3 months I observed increased daily hair loss, whereupon I had to restart minoxidil (and finasteride). Everything normalised within days and no "crazy" shedding whatsoever. I never had a shedding after starting minoxidil or finasteride. Things can be so different in different individuals.
