Replacing Dr. Lee's 2% spironolactone??

hello all -- i've enjoyed years of success with dr. lee's 2% spironolactone, revivogen, nizoral, and copper peptides.

and now i really miss dr. lee's 2% spironolactone!

here's why:

i ordered some 5% cream from this site, and i'm grateful for the offering as well as the top notch service, but i find the application to be a sloppy pain in the *ss, and it seems to make my hair a bit oily overall.

i tried ordering some 2% lotion from genhair.com, and i can't complain enough about my experience. it's been over TWENTY days and i still haven't received my order. i've tried emailing them twice -- no response. i even tried calling the 877 number listed on the receipt, and it's a non-working number. epic fail!

does anyone know of a VIABLE, TRUSTWORTHY place to get 2% topical spironolactone from? i've searched the forums and there seem to be a few sites mentioned out there, but none of them have impressed me (to put it nicely).

i'm really appreciating dr. lee's 2% spironolactone, with that nifty applicator bottle, now that it's gone.

I am testing this one at the moment. It's 232 ml of spironolactone 5% so the price is great. I actually bought it for 43$ since there was a discount.

The site seems to be legit as they are receiving positive comments and their shipment and customer service is fast.

The thing that bothers me is that this spironolactone is more greasy than the fast drying lee's spironolactone 2%

BTW how many times a day were you using spironolactone? How long have you been leaving it on the head before washing it off?

Hi looseitall thanks for your reply. Is the 5% spironolactone you mention in liquid form, or is it more the 'cream style'?

I was using Dr. Lee's 2% twice a day. Shower in the morning, apply to still-wet hair, then once at night right before bed.

It is a liquid, so it's easy to apply, just more sticky when it dries. Thats the only disadvantage.

Its probably more greasy because it has more spironolactone than Lee's. Therefore probably more Propylene Glycol is used.

I would leave it on all night. Have you noticed any results, like less shedding or anything?

Well I used to shed like crazy. Lots of hair on the pillow or just falling out when I was sitting at work... Now I don't shed anymore. I'm not saying that spironolactone is working for me, it's too early to say, but I am very optimistic about it.

Do you use anything else in your regimen? The stopping of shedding could be due to other treatments recently started, unless spironolactone is the only thing you have added in the past year.

And do you apply spironolactone twice per day?

I am using spironolactone 2 times a day and I am also applying 0.5 ml of minoxidil for the most thinned out area, hoping for some regrowth.
