Monks, tamils and other people are using shaving of scalp as a routine, acording to my idea this is not good for a healthy hair due problems with sebum.

What do you think about this image?

Did you prove your sebum back theory in any scientific journal?
My guess is that longer hair retains heat inside scalp which dilates blood vessels in turn increases blood flow and help keeping hair longer. But most men with longer hair go bald eventually as hair thins the cushion decreases which makes scalp exposed to cold and dirt and sunlight which are aggravating factors in hairloss.
