There's alot of info out there (studies and personal testimonies) showing that rosemary can improve hair density and quality. Heck, if you read some of the reviews on amazon you'll see folks who post 6 or 12 month before/after photos and swear the rosemary even help them regrow some hair.

At around $10 for a 3 month supply and zero side effects I think folks would be crazy not to try it, I mean unless you dont like the smell.

I had my FUT procedure 10/17/19 and post-op started Finasteride and now just added rosemary oil as my only topical. Personally I love the stuff.

FYI - everyone seems to think you need a carrier oil if you're making a littler spritzer. As an experiment I dropped some rosemary oil in a clear shot glass of water and it dissolves completely. My wife donated a littler mini spray bottle thats about the size of a tube of lipstick. I drop about 3 oz of warm water in it, 5 drops or so of the Rosemary and bam. Super easy and no oily residue since I dont use a carrier oil.

Like I said, so easy to make... $10... your scalp will love it. Unless you're allergic or something.

How about onion oil? And cayenne.
I mix cayenne powder and onion powder from the grocery store into my mint oil.

I think the OP should have given a bit more explanation here.

The rosemary oil study found both RO and 2% Minoxidil to be ineffective.
Rosemary-Oil-Minoxidil-Hair-Count-Increase.jpg

The article points out that our hair count changes seasonally up to 10%, just like dogs shedding hair seasonally, so the effect we're seeing there might be just that.

The pepermint oil study, on the other hand, was done on mice and, as the author of the article in the first link points out, pretty much everything regrows hair on rats, and the results were measured at only 4 weeks.

Also, this objection:

"Marketers reference studies on mice to sell you peppermint oil for hair loss... but don't tell you that mouse models rarely translate to androgenic alopecia... or that those studies measured hair growth speed and not hair follicle proliferation."

Im sitting here after just applying rosemary, castor and pumpkin seed.. Who knows if nothing the essential oil seems very stimulatory, washing with cold water afterward really gives a "menthol" response.. esp with peppermint but somewhere I recall that it interferes with minoxidil I can't remember where I saw that..
But oils aren't nothing, Im not certain but rosemary may inhibit DHT, as pumpkin seed is supposed to (although I don't know about topically), and castor is known to be a PGD2 inhibitor which is definitely something. Not only that but the use of various things commonly used like nizoral, zinc shampoo, or minoxidil dry hair out badly, and the oiling, if washed carefully and not too thoroughly, leaves some oil behind on the hair.
