Remaining "ring" of hair on the sides and back....

Has anyone else noticed their remaining hair on the sides and back of their head also thinning? After losing everything on top..front to back..it also seems that now the sides and back are a lot more thinner, finer in texture. Overall, the sides and back are just much more sparse than it used to be. Also, the areas right above my ears as well as the hairline at the bottom of my neck has also fallen out. The hairline in back used to go all the way down to the bottom of my ears and now it seems to stop growing at around the middle of my ears...almost to the top. I keep the sides and back buzzed real close, but it's still obvious that even the sides and back are a mess. Is this normal?
Thanks!

Yes, many people with significant hairloss will also see thinning in the horseshoe area, especially on the sides.

I think sometimes parts of that hair does thin, though you usually won't lose it all.

Also, a lot of people have general age related thinning that seems unrelated to male pattern baldness, this might be happening at a younger age or or something.

I just found another thread from another guy who posted right before me..same problem. I guess it's common with a Norwood 7 guys, it still sucks! I am honestly about as bald as a bald guy can be. I honestly never thought I would end up not only bald, but completely bald like I am now. Dad and both brothers have full heads of hair. Mine used to be so thick and curly, it just sickens me.
