Regrowth/Extra thickness from Finasteride alone?

Hey chaps,

With so much stuff scattered around the web it's hard to get definitive answers on this, and so to add to that giant cauldron of goulash... here goes my attempt.

Has anyone on this forum experienced definite visible amounts of regrowth and/or thickening of hair density from using finasteride alone? (NOT in combination with any other treatments like minoxidil, dutasteride etc.)

Cheers lads, that's put a positive spring in my step!

I'm 34 years old and have been suffering similar diffuse loss to you GoldenMaine for at least 6 years i.e. gradual thinning out all over the top, although mine is worst at the crown area as that's where it originally started, from what I can remember.

My UK GP has just today given me a private prescription for generic 1mg finasteride - hopefully I can get the generic 1mg tablets at a relatively decent price compared to the current high-street chemist Merck Propecia prices.

Nervous and excited at the same time...
