Regrowth after 10 months (ALL minoxidil users, plz help)

I've switched from minoxidil 2 % (I used it 10 months) to minoxidil 5% (I've been on it for 2 months).

What's supposed to happen growth-wise now? Does switching from 2% to 5% stimulate any significant regrowth even after a year? ...or is the regrowth phase most likely to be over now?

it's very very possible you will experience new growth with this stronger medication based on the clinical evidence that minoxidil at a 5% topical dosage regrows much more hair than at 2%.

In the instructions for Kirkland's minoxidil it's indicated that tests did not show any regrowth after a year (or 48 weeks). What if one switches to minoxidil 5%? Will the regrowth phase start from scratch or simply maintain what I already have grown?

most likely wording for saftey purposes. dr. told me 6 months.

You should have better results maintaining hair with 5%, and a slightly better chance of regrowth, 40% more regrowth was shown in trials comparing minoxidil 2% & 5%.

As regards results, improvement seems to level out at around the 1 year mark, and from there, one is merely maintaining (assuming a dose of 5% x two 1ml applications per day). However, some long term users claim results improve up to the 2 year make in some cases.

I intened to go 2ml per day (1ml x 2 applicationss am + pm) for 1 year, then drop to 1ml (1 app per day) maintainance from then on. And see how that goes...
