I've studied posts on this site and also from the main page of this site. I have been taking Propecia and/or Proscar for 7 or 8 years. My hairline is between a norwood 1 and 2, with thinning at the front hairline. I have not lose any of my hairline for a few years, but it has thinned some.

I am considering using Revivogen scalp treatment at night - since it claims to block both type of DHT, whereas proscar only blocks one.

also plan to use folligen , 4 times a week, and also Tricomin spray (not the lotion or creme , since i do have alot of hair, just thinning).

does this sound like a good regiment, or would you advise something else. thought about adding rogaine, but i think that would be too many products. also, folligen and revivogen scalp both should be used at night, can i apply both at night, if so, which should be applied first. and should there be any time laspe between one product to the next.

wasting time without a real dht inhibitor like finasteride or dutasteride... also, there is only one type of dht...

I am taking fist. as well. looking to add to it. From what I learned from this site fist is good to block Type II 5 alpha reductase enzymes. Duct, or avodart will also block Type I 5 alpha reductase enzymes, as well as Type II.

That is why I stated there is two tpes of DHT. perhaps they act together, or independently, to create DHT. Anyway, for the purpose of this post, propecia and fist is good to block the Type II 5-ARZ, but I am hiesitate to try duct or avodart - because from what i have heard they produce much more exteme side effects than propecia.

The scalp treatment from Revivogen claims to block the Type I 5-ARZ without the side effects. So I was considering using it

wy not go with the most used regiment with the minimal chans for sides.
Finasterid 1mg, Minoxidil 5%, a shampo with Ketoconsale 1 or 2 % known as Nizoral in america and Fungoral in europe.

If I'm correct, Revivogen has zinc in it, and I've seen people say that using a zinc product and a copper peptide product (like tricomin or folligen) is not a good idea because one cancels the other out. I've seen no proof or studies supporting this, though.

"Minimal chance of sides" while using both minoxdil and full dose of finasteride/dutasteride sure seems laughable after the things I've seen/heard.

You can try topical dutasteride and/or 5% spironolactone as an alternative, for dht-inhibition. Along with Nizoral 2%. Especially since you seem to be mainly concerned with just frontal thinning as opposed to diffuse thinning on a large portion of your hair.

I thought Minoxidil was useless on the front hairline? The instructions with Minoxidil says to only use on the crown, so I'm hiesitate to use it.

I am interested in the Revivogen scalp treatment because it claims to block both types of the 5 alpha reduc. enzyemes.

And I am interested in Tricomin because it claims to keep the hair in growth stage longer.

It just seems like there are several good, or decent products to use, but figuring out which ones to use together is confusing to me. I think you can wind up using too many and may cause them not to work effectively. or perhaps even cause harm or damage. Not to mention the $$$ for each product.

well the medical study of using finasterid it was about 1.8 % of people that had sides. and about 1.2 % going on placebo alsow had sides.
and the sides of minoxidil i am not sure how the % are but
Studys at finasterid show that some people imagine side effects.
And on this forum there is probably some bullshitters....
but the % are very low.. this was a 5 year study of using finasterid in hair loss treatment.
Many people are afraid of side effects, and that makes it easyer to suddenly feel som side effects that could be caused off other reasons

Actually the instructions say that it is not proven that it works for hairline. They say that because they have only tested it in crown and have not right to advertise for other areas. But from my experience and many others here, minoxidil works wonders in hairline and front thinning.

I would suggest that - provided finasteride is working reasonably well for you- to add one product at a time and wait about six months to judge the results. So, add Revivogen OR Tricomin OR Folligen to your current regimen and wait and see. It's really your call where to begin..... I personally would add Revivogen first and see how that helps over the course of 6 months to a year.
