Regimen question - Revivogen + minoxidil?

Hy

First to say, that I'm quite pissed lately about my cursed hair.

I have family of baldheads, on my fathers side. There are some with hair, but majority - bald.

So I always knew I'm not the one of the few that will have hair. I knew I would lose my hair, but this is ridicuolus.

I'm 23. In my last two years, I had few remarks about my hairline. Which is a gentle way of friends telling you "yeah we see it, you are getting bald".

I started shedding heavy after a long relationship brakeup. I noticed at work (desk job, I'm in computer business) my hair every day, on keyboard...

It was pretty annoying.

Last summer I cut my hair to short. It looked really good on me. But when in direct sunlight, it was noticable. Because, as if my curses are not big enough, I've got that stupid sort of thin hair.

My friends told me that it's visible.

So - even then - I kept my chin high. I mean, I'm really not shallow and I don't judge no one on looks but I just think it's too damn early for me to resort to Headblade.

Lately I've been busy at my home office. I noticed my hair got more thin and rare on the top of my head.

It's sickens me. Guess what - today at lunch, my mom asked my if I cutted my hair.

 What? Is it that bad? Well, apparently.

I planned to go to the gym, for my health sake - but guess what. I'm postponing that all the time, because I'm afraid if I get sweaty my hair will thin up and I'll look like a laugh.

:thumbdown2: Yes I know.

SO TO MY QUESTION ALREADY :bravo:

I plan to go with Revivogen + minoxidil regiment. Is that ok? Anybody having experience "mixing" those two?

I'm a bit sceptical because it's both topical treatment so I don't want no strange sideeffects or no results.

Bare in mind that I will give it a go for, hmm let's say half year. If it doesn't show any results, well, I'm on Michael Jordan look, although I don't have that nice round head, I don't care, I'm gonna make it look good.

Oh yes and Topikk could do good for me.

So, after my cryout, I would just like to ask does anyone here know the results of revivogen+minoxidil combo.

Thanks! In male pattern baldness we trust.

From Dr Lee
"Zinc, however, forms insoluble salts when it reacts with minoxidil/azelaic acid, rendering the active ingredients ineffective."

Like i know Revivogen have zinc in it, so better if you want to use both first apply minoxidil and wait little bit than revivogen

You mean wait in minutes, afternoons or months?

So basically I should choose between those two?

revivogen is pretty thick stuff. so there is always some left in your hair, i.e. it never gets completely absorbed.

if i were you, i would put the minoxidil in, wait about 3-hrs then put revivogen in.

i think if you're using minoxidil foam it gets absorbed pretty much straight away, so maybe there's no need to wait that long.

have you thought about trying finasteride?

Well, as fas as keeping my hair, I settled with following options;

1) try to save, or regrow my current stash...
2) not taking any oral hair products. If I rub it on my head, ok, but no pills. I know it may be the same, but I have a block towards the pills.
3) if it gets worse, shave off
4) wait for stem cells
5) live long and prosper

:D

So, basically it would be fine for me to use minoxidil in the morning and revivo before sleep?

The makers of Revivogen suggest that you should wait 3 hours in between applications of minoxidil and Revivogen to avoid "interference" as they put it.

There's plenty of posts on here about people getting decent results using 1ml of minoxidil, once per day, so I think if you use Revivogen at night and minoxidil in the morning that would be a good start. You could even add a minoxidil application at night on those nights that you have the time (say Sun, Mon or Tue nights when you're just hanging around at home?)

Throw in some Nizoral shampoo twice a week and you've got a pretty solid regimen.

I ordered Toppik just to feel more confident but in last two days I noticed something really, really nasty...

When I run my hand thru my hair, it always leaves a couple of long hairs between my fingers, also when I try to pull out my hair it comes off too easy in my opinion...

Im scared as fcuk...it seems like in last lets say 5 days it began to rapidly go away...

It's obvious that my hair is thin, although I had a haircut few months ago and it grew that I need a new one, the top of my head is thinning fast and that hair seems to fall off with a dash of air to it...

It's sickening...I find myself staring at the mirror...trying to picture myself bald...thinking should I shave and apply minoxidil to my bald head for sometime...

I dont know...I know that it is something normal and all that, but still..it hurts...

I'm having 2nd thoughts on is it smart to go spending 50+ $ month on treatments...i just feel depressed...really... :puke: :shakehead:

maybe ur just shedding.

i know you're not wanting to take a pill, but it's much easier.

what about buying propecia and taking 1/3 or 1/4 of a tablet a day. take a pic, then check the results 4-6 months later.
just think to yourself about all other possible options down the track if finasteride doesn't work for you, eg: hair transplant, HM, new products coming out, etc.
worrying only makes things worse.

Rev and minoxidil was the regime I chose after reading a lot of posts on here. I started about 1 month ago.

AM
Wash hair (cycle Revivogen and Nizoral shampoos)
Apply minoxidil foam (1/2 cap)

16:00/17:00
Apply minoxidil foam (1/2 cap)

22:00
Apply Revivogen

I also got some 2% spironolactone (for when going to bed with a red head is not an option) but it stinks like a cross between a monkey house at the zoo and the air from a bike tyre.

bolhead, the main thing is to be calm and try not to stress about it. Make a decision on treatments and then just see what happens, confident knowing atleast you tried if things dont improve - which is much better than regretting you didnt try at all.

Dont think you have to take the full dose of finasteride, you can simply start with the full 1mg for a month, then see what happens, if you get sides mabye drop it down to half... everybody is different there is no golden rule, except anything less than a quarter is statistically, not that helpful.

Im on a quarter of 1mg, and 1 month ago started revivogen, which im still hoping kicks into better action, the shampoo is gr8 though!

Sam

p.s. im 21 - and remember "any treatment is better than no treatment"
