Wondering if you can help, i want to add something else to my regemin. Ive been on my current regimen for longer than 4 months; this is it

1. finasteride (1mg a day)
2. Tricomin Shampooo and Conditioner
3. Green Tea
4. Eskimo 3 Fish Oil - Reduces Inflamation

I have noticed over the last six months that my hair has went down hill heaps. I have lost alot of hair all over especially at the crown and vertex. Its really thing and its becoming a bald spot.

I wont say my scalp health has been good, as i have been on this bored complaining bout itch and pain for a while. Ive tried so many propducts, Thearpy Spray, Jasons thin to thick, steroids nothing worked.
Anyway going to the derm next week so hopefully that'll help.

I was thinking about adding the following to my regimen, please suggest more

1. Grapeseed Extract
2. Tofu

What else should i add??I have added these items as i have read they reduce hairloss thought it would be worth a try, what you think, any experiences??

Thanks

Nizoral i stopped because i think it was giving me pain and irritation. Folligen didnt feel like it made much difference. Think my hair is too long annd i couldn't get it on the scalp. I used the tricomin thearpy spray but didnt feel it made a difference.

try t/gel for the itch and pain.

and you're missing out on the most obvious.

minoxidil!....

minoxidil 5% , use 1 ml twice a day, (morning , night)
out of your treatments this'll probably be the most effective when it comes to regrowing what you've lost.

I would go for the minoxidil. Stick with the proven stuff, you got enough natural products, and plus they are not proven...

Try folligen and stick with it. Use the folligen spray and apply it with a dropper. Give it time.
Use minoxidil too. Use 5% twice a day - morning and night. Good for growing hair.
I would try the nizoral again and see if the folligen will help with the irritation it may give.
I would also recommend a good anti-androgen. Like spironolactone. You can try the 2% solution in the denser areas that are prone to fall out and the 5% spironolactone lotion on the thinner areas. Lotion will work better for the thinner areas, since it is easier to apply to those spots. You could always try fluridil as well, for an anti-androgen, but it is very sensitive to water, water will break it down and make it useless. Apply all water based solutions first, let it dry thoroughly, then apply fluridil, that is if you want to use it. Hope this helps.

KevinG, your regimen is fine as is. I guess the only question I have to ask you is, how is your scalp feeling? Do you have any itch or irritation there? I'm pretty firmly convinced (this is just my personal opinion) that the more you reduce the irritation and itching on your scalp, the better your chance of slowing your hairloss and increasing the possible regenerative effects of your regimen.

That being said, if you still do have itch, you might want to dabble in one of the T/Gel shampoos, considering that Nizoral didn't work for you.

Tricomin and Folligen are both copper peptides and attack male pattern baldness along the same angle, some people prefer one, others prefer the other.

As for 'what to add', I say add nothing. You are only at the 4 month mark, give it more time, and relax. You say yourself that you are noticing bald spot reduction, so, let the hair cycle in and out a few times to give it an opportunity to thicken up. Adding more to a regimen will only add more complexity to your mornings, and increase the chances of you getting sick of your regimen and getting lazy with it. Keep it simple, keep consistent, and give it tiiiimeee.....

Ye i think it's too early just feel its getting worse. I thought it was a shed at first but its lasted about 2 months so cant be that. Ill stick with the finasteride for now and think about spironolactone in the future, could be soon though.

I came off both the nizoral and t-gel because i though it was causing irritation but maybe its just the nizoral. Ill get back on the T-GEL.

The itch and pain is really annoying me, i have alot of big pimples also on my scalp which are painful, so maybe if i improve my scalp health my hair will improve. Ive got the derm this next week hope to god he helps

Since i had to come off finasteride for a month and a half due to a car crash i feel ive lost heaps of hair on the crown/vertex

Cheers
