.. well i just started my 8th month on propecia yesterday. Up untill this point its been downhill and my hair has gotten really thin compared to baseline.

About a month ago i noticed i was going trhough a pretty big shed..when i ran my hands through my hair i would find around 30 - 60 hairs fall out over the sink.. now theres about 4 - 7 hairs. I dont know how long i was shedding for and if thats whats made my hair look so think but i wondering if its time to add something else to my regimen.

Right now my Regimen consists of: nizoral 1% and Propecia. Thats it

Do you guys think its time to add something ? If so what should i add??
i really didnt want to add minoxidil. just yet but any suggestions are welcome!!

Thanks to anyone who replies!!

Hey i would say hang in there for a few more months and if things dont seem to change maybe your going to have to add minoxidil. I know it seems hard but we can we do...
All the best, hang in there for now

You know, despite all the literature saying that Finasteride doesn't cause sheds and so on and so on, from my experience here on this forum I DEFINITELY think that Finasteride users tend to have sheds at about the 7-9 month mark. I hear about this so often, I cannot help but draw a conclusion.

That notwithstanding, you might just be going through a natural or seasonal shed. Sheds are a good time to pamper your scalp, I suggest adding in some copper peptides and perhaps mix in some occasional T/Gel once a week just to keep the scalp clean. Pay attention to your nutrition, it will help with the rebuilding once the shed is done.

Bite the bullet and stick with it. I am sure you have read on this forum many times that the first year is a roller coaster, ups and downs. Don't give up, be patient and PERSISTENT with your regimen and take care of your scalp and mind your nutrients and diet. But most of all, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!
