Hi,

I'm on finasteride, min; and the regenepure NT, DR and conditioner shampoos. Also been talking the Regenepure pills that you take 3 times a day.

Just wondering if anyone has any luck with the Regenepure Essentials pills? I've been on them for 6 months now and don't know if it's doing any difference. They are expensive to keep up, so wondering if it's still worth it.

Anyone have any experiences with them?

Thank you very much,

Russ

Just get some of this from drug store if you think it helps.

Only 'hair' vitamin i take is a high dose of 5000 Biotin my Dr told me to get--because my DR wants my hair to grow faster--but it does not effect actual follicle health. So if a follicle has no hair or a sick hair the biotin won't help--but if you are treating hair with propecia or minoxidil the biota will help with speed the follicle grows/cell turnover.

I take iron and vitamin D because deficient in both.

You could also combine MSM powder for faster hair growth, I mean you could give it a try, it's cheap enough. Some women on long hair forums take up to 10grams a day. I personally take around 3-5grams a day. My biotin ran out, I was on 1000mcg, and now I ordered some 5000mcg and 10,000mcg, I just hope that damned stuff won't give me acne.

I think biotin/msm thickened my hair a bit and has a synergetic effect with minoxidil, lately I been shedding hairs much thicker than I'm used to ever seeing, I was quite surprised. Anyway both biotin/msm are cheap enough to give them a try and I initially bought them both cause I wanted my beard to grow faster but I'm now still using it for my hair regardless.

I will have to google MSM-

Does biotin make skin oily?
I have not gotten acne but i am older it might be working well for me to have the excess oil.

Yeah from what I read biotin could Increase oil production. If 1000mcg biotin had any effect on my acne then it was definitely a minor one, however with doses such as 5,000 & 10,000 it can only make it worse. Reading reviews it seems that acne is pretty much the only problem with biotin. If you don't get any then consider yourself lucky.

I think this is where I read on msm and was sold out on giving it a try

If you get msm get it in powder form, not pills. They also say vitamin c increases msm absorption. From my calculaions if you take 10g msm powder and 5000mcg biotin then it shouldn't cost you more than $7 a month.

Biotin supplements won't do a damn thing for your hair unless you're biotin deficient. Taking large doses of biotin does NOTHING but waste your money. Your body needs little biotin anyway.... if you take more than needed you will just pee it out. There is no benefit of Biotin supplementation if you're already getting the amount of biotin you need (which people do because it's in a lot of popular foods and the human body doesn't need a lot of it).
