Hello! First time poster here. I’m 42 years old and have been losing my hair for the past 10 years or so. I am going in for my first system consultation tomorrow! I am extremely excited and nervous at the same time. I was listening to a dermatology radio show today, and the host was speaking about using Botox cosmetic on the scalp as a treatment for greatly reducing and even preventing sweating. I immediately wondered if this would be a viable solution for someone wearing a hair system with a skin base? They indicated that the results can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months. Does anyone here have experience with Botox cosmetic used on the scalp for sweat?

No experience, I'm afraid, but I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. However there are other ways of dealing with sweat under the base of a hairpiece as well, which are less expensive and invasive, such as using a scalp protector (barrier liquid) or a medical-grade anti-perspirant.

Good luck with the consultation tomorrow!
