Hey all,
So a little background: I first noticed my hairline receding when I was 18 years old, first semester of college. It gradually got worse.. leading me to buy a hair loss guide on hairIossrevolution, which is now a company under a different name. This is how it looked before any changes occurred:

Most of the information on that website was BS - but I did learn how important keeping a healthy diet + probiotics + staying hydrated was. I still abide by that advice every day.
Around that time, I started using Minoxodil - Rogaine once daily. That worked well for a while. If I missed applying rogaine at night though, I would wake up with my hairline receded. If my diet was too acidic/unhealthy, it also would've receded. I would just be more strict in the following days to correct the setbacks. The constant regrowth and receding was exhausting though, and I never felt really confident. After starting the minoxodil treatment, this is how my hairline looked.
*Apologies if these pics are weird, theyre just what I could find off my old phone.
However, my hairline started receding more this past summer, going into my jr year(2018 @ 20 years old). This is when things got very bad. These pictures make me sick tbh
I started applying Rogaine twice daily, which kind of worked, but the recession was getting aggressive and it still wasn't enough to keep my hairline in check. Showed a little progress after that, but it didn't stick. So I signed up for Keeps and started taking finasteride 1 mg daily. This has definitely helped with my hairline, but it still hasn't reversed things back to normal.
Here's how it looked after starting finasteride. Note that on this day I was feeling self conscious about it, and imo it usually looks a little better than this but I don't think most would be able to tell the difference like I can.
I just want it to go back to where it naturally was. I used to be so confident in my hair and I believed it was a good thing about my look. Now I hate anything involving it and I'm constantly obsessing over it.
Sidenote: I've also learned that all nighters/skimping on sleep is terrible for your hair because of the inflammation and stress and no amount of lemon water + turmeric vegetables can keep it from receding.
If anyone has any tips on how I can be better, please share them. I have the discipline to do what it takes. I'm already going to quit juuling and improve my sleep schedule so there won't be any setbacks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: I've been told about dutasteride but I'm not sure how to get a prescription for that. I think I just need to effectively block more DHT. If I can do that with natural blockers + finasteride, I'd prefer that, but if dutasteride is required, I'm willing to go that route.
