Receeding hairline but also uneven side hair??? :S Pics!!!

Hi, I have a receding hairline but also i have noticed my side hair has become very sparse and uneven. Is this a feature of male pattern balding or can it be somethin like alopecia areata?

Side hair loss can just be normal male pattern baldness, often a sign that the eventual Norwood level will be high, I think.
