Receding hairline

What products work for someone with a receding hairline? Most products I have read about only seem to be effective on the vertex of the head to the middle of the head. My hair is thick all over, except for at the very front where it is receding, so what would work in that instance?

A lot of people have had success on ALL parts of the head with finasteride and minoxidil. They are your best bet. Don't forget the nizoral.

Does anyone know if Nizoral is sold in Canada?

In the pharmacy, over the counter. Not with the regular shampoos

It's just a shampoo and a harsh one that will dry out the hair so it's a good idea to use conditioner with it. Cassin posted a thread saying that tea tree conditioner is a really good one to use along with it. I havent tried anything with is since I shaved my head a couple weeks ago and don't need to worry about soft hair yet. In terms of usage some people use it everyday, but most roughly 3 times per week.

Interesting I went to wally mart yesterday and saw nothing so I went to Shoppers Drug mart and they had a nizoral product that was for killing fungus in the hair so i assumed that wasn't it but bought a hair thickening shampoo instead. I will go back to wally mart though to see if they have the nizoral. What is the full name of the nizoral product?

I have had pretty good success with rogaine foam on my hairline. Its far from GREAT but its certainly no worse than it was a 2 years ago. I apply it twice a day without fail.

I didnt notice my best results until about 12 months. You gotta be consistant. If you want to try and maintain your hairline I think its well worth it.

Ah ok thanks. I haven't seen it in the foam form, only the liquid. Do you buy it from the chemist or online?

The stuff I got looks like this here

As far as I know there is only one kind of nizoral shampoo that kills fungus that causes dandruff and in doing so it also helps with hair growth.

That's the one I saw and didn't pick up because I thought it was the wrong product. Can anyone confirm that that is the correct product?

that's the stuff. nizoral is nizoral...the only difference is the percentage of active ingredient. In canada, you can purchase 2% no problem.
