really need your help guys

hi guys...my name is dragon and i'm just another victim of the ruthless male pattern baldness
after much thought process and research..i've decided to start on propecia and minoxidil
but i would just like to maintainn what i have,i think i'm a little less than norwood 2
so i found myself at the best pharmacy in my region today...asking for propecia
unfortunately...they said that propecia was not available in india as its an american brand
i got my hands on finastaride 1 mg..aka finpecia..manf by CIPLA
but this is really weird..i thought propecia was the costliest drug ever...but this one cost me just rs.39..that is less than 1 us dollar for 10 tablets of 1 mg each
so i have my doubts about the aunthenticity of this thing...coz its so much cheaper compared to what u guys r paying for a months supply of 30 pills
i would be paying approx rs.100 (2 USD) for a months supply of this as against the 50 USD that some of u might be shelling out every month
also..60 ml of minoxidil 2%...would have cost me just rs.150 (about 3 USD)..i didn't buy that anyway..coz i just wanna maintain whats left..i'm not worried about regrowth
i'm not gonna use these things unless i'm sure they r genuine
however, as far as CIPLA is concerned..its one of the best reputed companies in india
so guys..plz look at this thing and tell me whether i should take the next big step of including this in my regime
i've never in my life taken pills for anything...but this hairloss has pushed me too far..i've become desperate and determined to fight against it..coz my hair define my looks..i would look like a jerk without my hair
i don't even wanna think about it
so i don't wanna take something that won't work on me and instead make me sick...
plzzz plzz plzz look at these pics and tell me what should i do

Propecia = 1 mg Finasteride by Merck
Finpeica = 1mg Finasteride by Cipla

The massive price difference between the two is basically due to Merck being a profit orientated souless money generating group.

True but they've also gotta try and cover their costs for researching, developing and getting the drug passed. So obviously its gunna be a lot more than a generic which just copies all of their work.

so guys..can i go ahead and safely start taking finpecia?
also..what's gonna happen to my hair once i'm satisfied with the hair loss coming under control and stop taking propecia?
will i be in the same situation as i am now (before taking finpecia) or am i gonna be losing more of my hair than i would normally without finpecia?

No no not at all I use Cipla Fincar myself (generic proscar 5MG finasteride). I was just replying to the guy saying merik were a rip off, giving a reason why they charge so much. Yeah go a head and take it i'm sure its fine. If you do get results you'll have to keep taking the drug to maintain the results. If your very lucky taking the drug you will get some regrowth, if your lucky it will stop your loss and if your not a lucky but lucky still you will keep what you've got or slow your loss down. If your very unlucky it won't work at all. But give it the full 12 months before you make any decision as to whether its working.

DO NOT DO THIS. Finasteride 1mg (Propecia or Finpecia) has been deemed safe for use in male pattern baldness by the FDA. There are loads and loads of success stories regading it use. It should be the primary weapon in the fight against male pattern baldness. Dutasteride was withdrawn from FDA trials for reasons unknown. Finasteride should be an obvious first choice.
And yes Finpecia is just fine to use. It is effective as Propecia.
