Really good thing about propecia:

My dad has an enlarged prostate and wakes up 3-4x per night unsuccessfully try to pee. He does not get much sleep as a result, and it is aging him faster and making life hell.

50% of men are like that by age 60, and 90% by age 85.

Propecia can prevent that from happening, or at least greatly postpone it. Proscar and Avodart can shrink the diameter by less than 10%. So when I'm older, I won't have that problem. I might be too ugly to pick up hot women, but at least I'll be sleeping like a baby.

That is something to consider, especially it your not getting the results you hoped for regrowth wise. But will 1.25 work as well as the 5 mil that is ussually prescribed for prostate issues?

I think thats the main reason my doctor prescribed proscar so easily for me. He didnt seem to enthusiastic about it for hairloss though.

Yes. Nearly as well. Finasteride has that relatively "flat" dose-response for both hair and prostate issues.

I hope so. Cutting proscar in 4ths is a lot cheaper than taking proscar.
