29yr old male checking in here.
Have always had thick, fine hair. Barbers/stylists have frequently commented on a large cowlick on the back of my head, going back to childhood. No hair loss/shedding observed, none on pillow, none in shower, maybe a few when styling. Will have a GP appointment in about 6 weeks. I’m not trying to lean into Internet forums for medical advice but could use some opinions/first thoughts.
Temples have receded a good amount in the last year, but I’m keeping an eye on it. Some thinning perhaps, particularly in direct light looking through my front hair to the scalp, but I can be quite paranoid. Will simply document and wait every few months to compare photos. I’m okay with my hairline where it stands now.
I’d like to post a few photos of this cowlick area. Don’t have older photos to compare so I’m not sure if it’s always been this pronounced and it of course depends on the way the hair is combed and styled.
Any thoughts are appreciated. I’m still learning and I know some people lose hair in different patterns.
