Hi all,
I am currently serving in the forces and find it difficult to find a hair loss product to fit into my regime. Obviously i cant walk round with greasy/stained scalp all day and I dont have the time to be applying numerous different products throughout the day. Im not going bald, but would like a regime to maintain my hair, with the possibility of regrowing the slight hair that has gone. I dont think i can use finasteride either, firstly because of the drug test issue and secondly because i dont fancy taking pills.

i've am currently using ROGAIN/REVIVOGEN,the problem is, they are BOTH horribly greasy. Rogaine is major greasy and Revivogen leaves a terrible brown stain on my scalp that i just cant remove, and it is so obvious. I have tried everything to remove this staining. Since I wash my hair at least once a day, this is an ongoing problem.

Does anyone have alternatives that do not leave a greasy trail /brown stains, but are as effective?

Please provide me a list and some info.

Thanks for all your help.

Take one pill a day. Doesn't get much easier than that. Perhaps invest in a copper peptide couple sprays a day. Also not time consuming as well.

Dr Lees minoxidil item #500 dries in 10 minutes. Been using it for years, love it.

Copper Peptides dry just as fast.

Nothing is easier then popping a finasteride pill, but you should of course get an rx from a doctor first.

My entire regimen is cheap and easy to use. Love it.

how effective is the fast drying minoxidil compared to other slower greasier ones? and more importantly, which one, if either, has more systemic absorption?

Apply baby oil to a cotton swab/pad and rub it where the Revivogen is staining your scalp. I had the same problem and it worked for me.

MESSAGE TO CASSIN

do you find that dr lees minoxidil item 500 has worked to maintain your hair loss/regrow it, as well as just being a less greasy option.

MESSAGE TOPACKERS

has revivogen worked well for you. Have been applying revivogen for 4 months in the evening and minoxidil morning and night. Im thinking of applying revivogen in the evening as normal (once i can get rid of the stains) and just 1ml of dr lees minoxidil in the morning only, because it just seems to be too much hastle at the moment applying minoxidil morning and night along with rev in the evening. Think it seems like a good idea to get the less greasy option of minoxidil, but just hope it works as well as regular minoxidil

by the way could anyone tell me anymore about copper peptides and how good they are compared to minoxidil. How are they applied and does anyone have any good success stories
many thanks

I'd particularly like to know the answer to the latter question...

Revivogen was ok for me. I don't think it's as bad and useless as a lot of people say but it's certainly not a saving grace either. I think it kept me stable. It'd hard to tell because my hair was buzzed for the whole 9 months I used Revivogen so I dont know if my shedding decreased or anything. I gave it up because I thought minoxidil and spironolactone would be an easier and better option than Revivogen.

I think I will now go onto spironolactone and dr lees minoxidil (non greasy), because I think that since using revivogen my hair is basically a mess. My scalp is constantly stained brown and flaky and I believe that it has also made my good hair slightly thinner. The regaine 5% minoxidil is fine, apart from being greasy, so i think I will try dr lees non greasy minoxidil and swop the revivogen for spironolactone. Do you find that using minoxidil once a day is just as effective compared to the required twice a day, it certainly would help me to get through the day better if I could apply the minoxidil once a day aswell.

I used Xandrox 5% morning and night for 3 months. I then switched to minoxidil 5% in the mornings as I wanted to do my hair and Xandrox stayed wet just a bit to long. I did not notice a loss in growth at all. I love the #500.
