Razor Cutting

Have any of you guys gotten a haircut with some sort of razor thingy. Supposedly it makes the tips of the hairs more choppy giving it a fuller look. Im kinda worried it may be bad for the hair since it feel likes each chop theres a slight pulling effect. Is this type of hair cut bad for you?

i get that every once in a while, women get this done too, it makes the ends slightly uneven to add volume

it does pull, but pulling on your hair during a haircut is not going to make you any more balder if you are losing it anyways
