Hi Gentlemen,

I am just wondering what you think of this non-finasteride/dutasteride (i know i know) regimin. I am in principle willing to try finasteride again at a low dose if none of this ever comes to fruition.
---------

spironolactone- (Morning)
Prox-N-(Morning)

Revivogen or Crinagen(evening)
spironolactone (eveing)

AC Revitalize(whenever)

Nizoral 2%(2 or 3 times a week)

Green Tea (many cups of)
----------

I'm a 22 year old receder, about a 2 Norwood at the temples, but going fuxxy in the middle. Thanks.

haha, thanks mate.

yeah, well spironolactone doesnt take me long at all.
havent tried prox n yet but is that hard to rub in?

i heard crinagen is pretty easy.

ah well better that than eating 400 pills a day like some blokes on here.

:p

Sounds quite good. Did you ever think about Saw Palmetto? It is said to have a similiar effect as finasteride (much weaker though)? Plus why aren´t you using minoxidil?

i dont know why im not using minoxidil to be honest.

i have some in my drawer but i dont like the idea of being dependent on it.

though i think a will use it at some stage.

Lol, same for me. When I noticed that I am losing hair I bought Finasteride and minoxidil the same day. But I haven´t used it since then. I don´t want to be dependent on it either and am still hoping that Finasteride will give me back my old hairline. But if I am further receding I will step in immediately.

perhaps you are right bubka, and ive considered trying finasteride again at a low dose when i dont have any other huge stresses in my life. but you know, if i can find something that means i dont need that would be cool, and if i take the word of some people on here then there is hope for those who dont want finasteride.

(though i am aware that most 'success stories' involve finasteride or dutasteride.)

thanks for your input dude

i have never even heard of that... hardly call it the "usual suspects" unless you mean sexual problems... did you by chance read up on all the sides and fret before taking it?

when i say the usual suspects, yes, i refer to all the sexual side: my nuts ached, my lower abdomen ached, lost some feeling in my penis, poor erections, decrease in ejaculate....i dont think that all of thse things plus the other noted sides could be relegated to anxiety (sure maybe the erections etc). anyway, look i know you have had great results and are a big fan of finasteride and i wish i was able to tolerate it like you. and as i have said, i hope to be able to give it a whirl when im on break from uni and not so full of stress. in the meantime, im going to try some other things and see if they can help.

hey Going,

I havent logged in here for ages until today.

Basically, after i went off finasteride the first time I was scared as hell.

I got a great haircut and everyone said how good my hair looked, yada yada. So it dropped off my radar for a while. but now that same old worry is cmong back. I Have continued to see alot of hair fall out but cosmetically not much different.

My hairline is now at a 2.5 give or take a bit i suppose, its hard to tell though as i always had a big forehead.

Anyways, i am going to try a low dose of finasteride...even though ppl on here dont like the idea...and use some recent strories on here to try to get me through the rough patches!

How are you going mate?

Your regimen has not been tested enough to know if it is as strong as propecia. There is also individual variation. Aside from that, your regimen looks very strong. But be warned: it only works on the part of the scalp where the drops land. All other hairs will continue to bald unless they are hit often enough.

One more suggestion: Buy apple poly phenols from http://www.beyond-a-century.com and dump 2 grams into your shampoo you use on off days. Also, buy spironolactone pills from http://www.unitedpharmacies.com. Grind them up and dissolve them in propylene glycol from http://www.chemistrystore.com, and dump that into your nizoral 1% so it has 1% spironolactone (1.8g spironolactone per 180mL). That will kind of help you incase you miss a spironolactone application or don't apply it perfectly.

thanks CCS..

You are a font of ideas and and info...how are things going for you?

Since i was writing here last i have just been using AC revitalize (Copper Peps) and nizoral. I KNOW THAT WONT DO MUCH but yeah...!

So I i think i am going to try to do a low dose of finasteride and if im ok build up and see if the sides generate again, hope not!. As i noted in another post i am really pretty thick haired behind my receding hairline so i just hope that the shedding will be global rather than local if you know what i mean.

BTW ccs i saw a press release (cue skepticism) about a topical based on adenosine going by the brand name Dermenodex. What's your thinking on this stuff, if at all.

back to my Green tea. :hairy:

I told other people how to make it. I just don't like you much. You're kind of funny, but you hijack to many threads and divert people's attention from more important topics.
