Hey guys, so i took about a total of 2 month break from propecia recently (took the odd .5 dose once or twice a week but didnt help) since the beginning of december and my hair has DEFINITELY taken a hit.

I wanted an opinion of what you guys think of how my hair looks when i style it.

I plan to get back on a very strict finasteride regimen because i cut my hair shorter than usual today and this **** made me depressed as ****. based on the way i style my hair what norwood would you guys classify me in.. thanks!View attachment 38162View attachment 38161

my goal is to get that thinness in the front to become almost as thick as the rest of my head... most of my hair is thin but the front forelock seems to be taking most of the hit.

Those are some pretty bad pics, maybe go for more close-up shots of your hairline from a forward facing perspective, I'd imagine some people looking at those pics would see zero recession and a perfect hairline. You definitely are a NW2, it's hard to tell if there is any thinning, can't see **** from those pics.

It looks like you have a nice thick Norwood 2 with good density. I'd rate your hair style a 10/10, because I think it suites you and looks good. :hairy:

I know that horrendous feeling of dealing with a thin forelock while hair in all areas of the scalp is decent. At the front no matter how well you style it, there is never a feeling of satisfaction. :(

I'm probably nw2. 5 -3 I'm looking more for an opinion based on what people see in everyday situations hence why I took these styles of pics

I think you and your hair blend in find, I won't notice anything 'off' about your hair if you know what I mean. It looks good, you'd pass as a man with a full head of hair to the vast majority of people.

Thanks Augustin appreciate the feedback but I've been bea ting myself for making my hair get worst... I'm just hoping I got it cut a little too short and I'll feel better about my hair in 3 or 4 days once it's a tiny bit more grown out.

g.i joey, I know how hard hair loss is to deal with and it's always too easy to beat ourselves up over it. The best we can do in our time is to continue using proven treatments and being patient with the bad hand we've been dealt with.

I think it's been suspected that the frontal third is more susceptible to DHT and that there are higher levels of androgen receptors in that area, making frontal baldness so sensitive and why maintaining and getting good regrowth in that area is so dreadful. I do hope the possible upcoming new treatments will deal with this issue quite well since our current available treatments aren't even approved or tested for treating frontal thinning.

my brother had nice regrowth in his frontal region, his forelock was basically see through and within 3 months of him starting the meds at 1mg a day he thickened up completely similar to the rest of his head. that lucky ****er lol
