Rash Around Hairline And Face From Regaine- With Picture

Hi all,

I started using Regaine on Monday and have already shed a massive amount of hair around the hairline. I heard this was normalish but the rash I've got from it might not be. What do you think? Should I drop the Regaine because I've had an allergic reaction and just continue with Propecia? I've also got a puffy red patch under my eye and my scalp is itching.

The shedding shouldn't happen that fast. Also, the symptoms you describe sound like an allergic reaction, to either the minoxidil or the vehicle (ethanol and/or propylene glycol).

Stop using the minoxidil on your scalp for now and try applying a very small amount under your wrist (standard allergy test) to see how your skin reacts. Alternatively, you could try switching to minoxidil foam, see if that helps.
