Ok, I got on propecia/finpecia around September 2007. I still saw some hair loss, and due to this after 2 years I decided enough was enough and quit taking it. Unfortunately though, after coming off propecia I noticed rapid shedding. I decided to get on dutasteride after reading that it was even stronger. Still though, 3 months later and I'm still shedding like nothing. It's been roughly a year since I took the propecia, so would this indicate that it's the stoppage of that that's causing this? Also, what are the chances that the dutasteride will begin to work and I'll regrow any lost hair?
Finally, what's the consensus on a double barreled approach, ie finasteride and dutasteride. Or is this pointless?
