WE CAN CLONE ORGANS FOR LITTLE BRAT KIDS WHO NEED A NEW HEART; WE CAN CLONE ANIMALS SO WHY ARE ALL THESE USELESS SCIENTISTS TAKING SO LONG TO CLONE A HAIR FOLLICLE? I COULD DO A BETTER JOB AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE A DEGREE IN SCIENCE. HONESTLY THE SITUATION IS PATHETIC; HURRY UP YOU BAS***** ; I SERIOUSLY WISH THEM AND THEIR FAMILY THE GRAVEST MISFORTUNE FOR BEING SO INEFFICENT. No-one owes you sh*t mac, remember that - anything you really want.. you're going to have to assume that you will have to achieve it yourself. Anything that is given to you by others is a privelage, not a right.
Perhaps when you come to this realisation you would be less at pain, and more patient for the miracles of science to make their appearance. In the meantime, man it up!
EDIT: Sorry man didn't mean to be harsh - but it's the truth, let's face it better people are going through worse sh*t on a daily basis. Ultimately I wouldn't worry too much; I can't say that a cure is right around the corner but I think it's fair to say that more effective treatments will become available over the next 5 years. It's a battle and you have to be ready to fight it with the tools that we do have available - you can't just grow angry and frustrated over the lack of a magic pill to solve your problems in life.

I saw Real Sports w/ BG and they had a segment on ex-athletes dying from lou gehrigs. Imagine your whole body being immobile except for being able to move your eyes and your mind is in perfect health and awareness so you are conscious of being in this misery every day. Your only communication to the outside world is by staring at a computer screen monitor and picking out letters by darting your eyes at a keyboard, and a mechanical voice spouting it off. All this in-between a loved one or relative using a suction to get the drool filling up in your mouth every 30 minutes or so.
Or, if you're not at that stage yet, slowly feeling your lungs get weaker and weaker and having to decide if you want to die when you can't breathe anymore or be ruled by a machine.
It sure made me think twice about being so self-defeatist about hairloss.

I do perfectly understand where you two are coming from nevertheless my remonstration would be to point out all of those ungrateful people out there who have perfect hair and a perfect body and all they do is live with their parents and go out drinking. You know the type I mean - that sort of person who really only cares about himself but gets everthing in life just because he has great hair and well to be fair , average looks.
Don't get me wrong I am very thankful for the things I have. I started hairloss at 17 and still got really stunning girls - this made me more thankful because I realised that my looks conpensated for my receeding hairline etc. But still I often wonder what it would be like to have the same hair on top of my head as the hair on the sides and back; if anything it would boost my self worth and self confidence through the roof. My hair as it stands now is still at the stage where if i use a bit of concealer at the back it just looks like I have receeded a bit though the texture and density is rapidly dimminishing. I am going to try a hair replacement soon; it's quite nerve racking but at the end of the day it is non-surgical; if I decide against it after wearing then it is just a case of re growing my own crappy hair again.
Finally though I am aware people have problems but I am still adament that the scientists should get off their ***** and hurry up. Bill me any price I don't care I will pay.

stem cell research can hold quite a promising cure for male pattern baldness so what pisses me off is when Embryonic stem cell research is impeded because of human stupidity
i think we would have a cure for male pattern baldness right now if Germany and America never had any "moral" objection to embryonic stem cell research
i don't think we should be angry with the scientists i think we should be angry at the complete eejits that are getting in the way of their work by imposing stupid laws for stupid reasons

Maybe I missed something, but has a functional human organ ever been cloned? We haven't even cloned a fully developed human.
And the amount of mammals cloned is very small.
