Wow, in 2 weeks you saw such dramatic change?? I suspect its psychological and not real :) since it takes about 2 weeks for Finasteride to completely get out of your system.

Also, not sure what you mean about upregulation, I think you are usinig the wrong term. Upregulation I believe is used for cell receptors increases.

Sex drive. Cause your hormones were out of wack again, you messed up your with finasteride equilibrium, body has to re-adjust

I've had breaks/missed pills etc. quite regulary so don't think you need to worry too much.

I'm sure I read somewhere that when you stop taking finasteride it can take a couple of months for the loss to go back to the pre finasteride levels.

about a week and a half ago i had like a 4 day break and i am noticing some serious hair loss again. i forgot how depressing it is to get out of the shower and run your hands through your hair and see like a hand full of hair. ugh!

I think a lot of people will be experienceing that right now mind, it could just be the onset of a springtime shed.

man, we're not friggin rabbits or dogs. spring time shed (if it exists for humans) would not be this noticable

I was off Propecia for just about 3 weeks and noticed no changes. Maybe a slight increase in the hairs I found in the shower, but nothing serious. You'll be fine.

Well I'm no doctor, so take this as hear-say, but I am pretty certain that all hairy mammals shed twice a year, humans including. It's something to do with a warm and cool coat or something...

I know all hairs shed as part of their re-growth cycle, so I'm not sure if it's all part of the seasonal thing. As I read it on the interweb it could just all be baloney, but speaking from experience I've definitely had noticeable loss either side of the spring/summer (I don't think it's really noticeable on my hair, just a significant amount of hair on my brush and in the shower/rubbing hand through hair). A purely unscientific estimate of the ratio of hairs lost would be around 75% hairs lost being barely matured post vellus and fine to 25% mature/long established.
